CAIRO, Egypt - IT distributor Mindware has been appointed as an official distributor for VMware, a Broadcom company, in Egypt. The agreement enables Mindware to distribute VMware's portfolio of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, networking, and digital workspace technologies across the country.

The appointment expands Mindware's role in VMware's regional distribution network. In March 2025, the company, headquartered in Dubai in the UAE,  was named distributor for VMware in Lebanon, Iraq, and Jordan. With the inclusion of Egypt, Mindware now covers several key markets across the Levant and North Africa.

Under the new partnership, Mindware will provide access to VMware's solutions for enterprises and public sector organizations in Egypt. These offerings include cloud infrastructure platforms, application modernization tools, network and security solutions, and digital workspace technologies aimed at enhancing IT performance and resilience.

"Egypt is advancing rapidly in digital transformation, driven by national initiatives and private sector demand," said Toni Azzi, Vice President for Africa, Qatar, and the Levant at Mindware. "This agreement supports the delivery of agile and secure digital infrastructures across the country."

Amr Salah ElDin, Regional Director for North Africa, Levant, and Egypt at VMware, said the collaboration reflects VMware's strategy to strengthen its presence in the region. "Mindware's local market knowledge and partner ecosystem will support organizations in Egypt as they adopt cloud-first approaches," he said.

The announcement coincides with significant growth in Egypt's cloud computing sector. Research firm IDC forecasts that spending on cloud services in the country will surpass $800 million by 2027. This growth is being driven by digital initiatives in areas such as government services, healthcare, education, and financial inclusion.
